Portrait Sessions start at $150

I view a portrait session as a largely collaborative process, I have no desiere to march you through a checklist of poses and scenes simply because they are easy for me to light. Anyone can take your picture, my goal is to work with you to create images that are your own personal art, wall portraits that complment and become part of your home. 

My portrait sessions typically run approximately an hour and are location based. Each session includes a preshoot consult. During the consult I help identify the look and feel you are wanting in your final images. The way your images will ultimately be displayed has a huge impact on how we approach capturing them. Everything from your personal style to the colors of your living room matter when it comes to helping us create images that you will love.

Sometimes the end result is as simple as:

"I'd like you to hang out with my child and me in the park and capture images of him or her having fun".

Or as complex as:

"I want to take a portrait of my family on the exact rock at the beach where I proposed to my wife 20 years ago, it has to be at sunset and the colors have to complement the brickwork I just did in our family room. Also we have a dog" (pets make everything more complex but I am aware that they are family too) :)

Following your portrait session we will schedule an in home viewing where you can see digital and printed proofs of your images and make initial purchases. After this session, if you wish your images can be placed in an online gallery allowing friends and family to make additional purchases.
